Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of CookieReel (the "Service"), operated by CookieReel ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, submitting a baker application, hosting an event, or uploading any video, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create a baker or host account. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Accounts and roles

• Bakers apply through our public application form. Approval is at our discretion. Approved bakers receive an invitation email to set a password and access the baker console.
• Hosts are clients of bakers. They access their event portal via a private magic-link emailed by us after their event is paid.
• Guests upload short videos to a host's event using a public link or QR code. Guests are not required to register an account.

3. Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe. Bakers pay us for event tiers and submission credits. Hosts may purchase additional submission credits directly through their portal. All sales are final unless otherwise stated, except where required by applicable law. We do not store full card details.

4. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits, among other things, pornographic, sexually explicit, harassing, or illegal content. Violations may result in immediate suspension, content removal, and reporting to law enforcement.

5. Content responsibility

Bakers are responsible for the conduct of hosts and guests at their events. Hosts are responsible for the conduct of their guests. By uploading content, guests grant the relevant baker and host the right to view, store, and share their video as part of the event reel. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy without notice.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its name, logo, design, and software, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the videos you upload, but grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, and display them solely for purposes of providing the Service.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violations of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including liability limits and indemnities).

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR FREE OF ERRORS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced through the Service or by email. Continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
